
On May 1, Chicago expects to open vaccination to all Chicagoans age 16 and older. On April 12, vaccination will open to Illinois residents outside of Chicago who are 16 years of age or older.

Higher education eligibility includes student workers such as teaching assistants and residence hall assistants. Chicago’s 1C expansion also includes people 16–64 years of age with underlying health conditions. If you live outside Illinois, we encourage you to check with your health care provider, pharmacy, and/or your county health department. For faculty and staff living outside of Chicago but within Illinois, you became eligible on Monday, March 22. On Monday, the City of Chicago will expand the number of people eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 1C to include higher education workers who live in Chicago. Great news! As of Monday, March 29, all Loyola University Chicago faculty and staff in Chicago and Illinois will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
